Waqf-e-Nau Lajna and Nasirat from Indonesia have Honour of a Virtual Meeting with Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

“Never be disappointed. Work hard and pray to Allah the Almighty, then you will achieve” – Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad

On 15 January 2023, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad held a virtual online meeting with Lajna and Nasirat members of Waqf-e-Nau Scheme from Indonesia.

His Holiness presided the meeting from MTA Studios in Islamabad, Tilford, whilst the Lajna members joined the meeting virtually from Jakarta.

Following a formal session which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, members of Waqf-e-Nau Scheme had the opportunity to ask His Holiness a range of questions regarding their faith and contemporary issues.

One of the attendees asked His Holiness how a person can avoid making mistakes or bad choices.

 Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Allah the Almighty says that whenever we are going to start anything, we should seek His help. Pray to Allah the Almighty that He makes it easy for us. Seek Allah the Almighty’s help and His guidance that if it is good for you, then Allah the Almighty may make it easy for you and make it comfortable for you and satisfy your heart. If you are praying to Allah the Almighty then He will help you, you will feel satisfication in your heart and it will not end up badly. So remember that we should always pray to Allah the Almighty. We should seek His help when we start something, while we are doing it and till the end of our life. Then Allah the Almighty will help us and when He helps us, then the result is never bad.”

Another student asked His Holiness whether she should prioritise her education or giving time to volunteer for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Firstly, you should complete your studies, get better education and then come forward for the help of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and serve it. Further, on the weekends, you should attend Waqfaat-e-Nau classes or Waqfat-e-Nau Ijtemas [Annual gatherings] and whenever you are on holidays, give some spare time to the work of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – whatever is given to you by your president or in-charge Waqf-e-Nau. But never at the cost of your studies. First focus on your studies; complete your studies, get better education and then you will be a more beneficial and useful asset for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.”

Another attendee asked His Holiness how to remain happy with God when some aspirations and goals are not fulfilled.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“If you have dreams or goals according to your potential, then you should work hard and pray to Allah the Almighty that Allah the Almighty may help you to achieve them… Allah the Almighty says to ‘Strive’. [So,] first you have to work hard then pray to Allah the Almighty that you have done whatever was possible according to your potential, according to your capabilities, and that Allah the Almighty may help you to achieve [your goal]. Then Allah the Almighty will, God-willing, help you…”

A questioner asked His Holiness what he does if he ever feels sad or faces any problem in life.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“When you are somehow not feeling comfortable or you have different emotions, then you have to pray to Allah the Almighty that Allah the Almighty may help you. Just pray in your five daily prayers, cry hard in your prostration and then you will feel some satisfaction in your heart and it will be okay.”

Another attendee asked His Holiness what an Ahmadi Muslim woman who is a member of the Waqf-e-Nau Scheme and is a full-time employee of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community should do when she gets married. Whether she should quit her service and focus on her tasks as a wife or should she keep serving with the permission of her husband?

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Whatever you are doing, whether that is in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community or outside, after marriage, you should work with the mutual understanding with your husband. But first thing is that you should make your husband realise that if you are working for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, it will help to increase your spiritual level as well and to gain the blessings of Allah the Almighty. If you are working for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community then you will attain the blessings of Allah the Almighty. Tell him all the time that, ‘We should give some time to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, then we can have more blessings from Allah the Almighty.’”

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad further stated:

“A Waqf-e-Nau girl should tell their [prospective] match, the person whom they are going to get married with and their family that, ‘Being a Waqf-e-Nau, this is our obligation to serve our Community whenever we are asked by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to come forward. So, I am a Waqf-e-Nau and being a Waqf-e-Nau, it is my duty. So, you will have to understand that after marriage even, I will work for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community whenever I am asked to do it.’”
